Interactive art installation as the centerpiece of India Surf Festival 2015
Site-specific installation, Bamboo, Industrial paint, Rope, Motion-Sensors, LEDs. 30x40 feet. 2015
This motion-sensitive installation glows in response to human interaction. Created as a collaborative effort between the artist, the local bamboo-workers’ community and a technology team, the installation generated paramount interest during India Surf Festival 2015.
Like all beautiful things, it started off as an idea.
I wanted to make a larger than life installation that people can interact with, physically and technologically.
I went through a number of concepts and tried them out on Cinema4D.
Finally, I was happy with having two 'flowers', one beside the other. People could walk around it, and at night, it would become an interactive piece.
